Kamil Kuskowski: Feast of Painting

In his latest project, the artist invites viewers to encounter genuine still lifes. Kamil Kuskowski explains that the exhibition should be understood on two levels: as a feast for the eyes and as a literal feast. We will admire both compositions prepared by the artist and the finest works of the old masters reproduced in catalogues of their art.

In the literal sense, viewers will be able to eat only fragments of the still lifes arranged by the artist.

Despite his young age, Kamil Kuskowski, a graduate of the Łódź Academy of Fine Arts, has already achieved a great deal, and not only as an artist. He is exceptionally active: in a short period, he earned a doctorate, became a lecturer at his alma mater, curated numerous exhibitions and, alongside all of this, continued to make art. He is undoubtedly one of the more interesting Polish artists of the younger generation. His work was recognised by the editors of the latest publication from the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle, New Phenomena in Polish Art after 2000, who included Kamil Kuskowski among seventy-one important living Polish artists.
