Teresa Tyszkiewiczowa: Gesture

The idea for Teresa Tyszkiewiczowa’s exhibition at Atlas Sztuki came from Professor Stanisław Fijałkowski, who repeatedly emphasised in conversation the artist’s exceptional character and her significant influence on the formation of Łódź’s artistic community. He noted that Tyszkiewiczowa was not only an artist working in non-geometric abstraction, but also a person who, alongside Władysław Strzemiński and Stefan Wegner, exerted a considerable influence on the shape of the State Higher School of Visual Arts in Łódź.
