May 29, 2015
29.05.2015 – 13.09.2015 |
Carl De Keyzer completed the project Moments Before the Flood in 2012. For several years, the artist travelled along Europe’s coasts, seeking to answer the question of whether Europe was prepared for a possible sudden rise in sea levels. Moments Before the Flood was one of twelve projects shortlisted for the 2012 Prix Pictet—an international photography prize addressing sustainability. The series has since been shown several times in the artist’s solo exhibitions and, as part of the Prix Pictet Power Exhibition Global Tour, has visited twelve venues on three continents, including the Saatchi Gallery in London and the Museum of Photographic Arts (MoPA) in San Diego.
