Film Form Workshop

The exhibition at Atlas Sztuki will present works by Wacław Antczak, Andrzej Barański, Kazimierz Bendkowski, Wojciech Bruszewski, Tadeusz Junak, Marek Koterski, Paweł Kwiek, Antoni Mikołajczyk, Janusz Połom, Józef Robakowski, Andrzej Różycki, Zbigniew Rybczyński and Ryszard Waśko. We will also show Andrzej Bednarek’s 1996 film about the Film Form Workshop. This is the first presentation of the group’s work on such a scale in Łódź. 

In conjunction with the exhibition at Atlas Sztuki, we are publishing two texts about the activities of the Film Form Workshop on our website. The first is by Alicja Cichowicz, who works at the Museum of Cinematography in Łódź; the second was written by Dr Marika Kuźmicz, director of the Arton Foundation in Warsaw, whose research and exhibition activities focus on Polish art of the 1970s. Dr Marika Kuźmicz’s text in this catalogue comes from her forthcoming book Film Form Workshop, which will be published by the Arton Foundation and Sternberg Press in early 2017. 

The exhibition partner is the State Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź.
