‘Freedom and Imagination Are Muscles We Do Not Exercise’

We still don't know who designed the New Centre Łódź - but we all know who designed the real jeans. These real ones were designed by a brilliant tailor from Łódź. Bernard Lichtenstein left our city with a group of residents of Kamienna Street in 1937. In 1947, he designed the most famous jeans in America - Wrangler 13MWZ. Friends with Marlon Brando, he helps James Dean sew his own pants. Dean for the film role assumes Lee. In September 1955, when the future symbol of America's outsider, Colin Wilson, dies in a car accident, his Outsider Has already mostly written. All that remains is to connect Wells with Sartre and a new existentialism is ready.

"Freedom and imagination are muscles that we don't practice."

Colin Wilson walks in jeans and looks into the world of mescaline. The preposition "beyond" appears before "The Outsider". It's already 1965.

The world's largest aviation fair, which took place in 1965 in Paris, was a great success for the Country of Councils. The delegation was headed by Minister Piotr Diemientjew. Constructors Andrey Tupolev and Oleg Antonov flew with him. The guest of honor of the Salon was Yuri Gagarin. The Soviet construction of helicopters was represented by Mikhail Mil. Joseph Mashman, vice president of the "Bell" company, was in Paris. When he approached Mil, no one was surprised by the box with the "Blue Bell" print.

– It's from your friend. Three pairs. Please give one to Comrade Gagarin.

The third one was worn by Wilson.

In 1966, Mikhail Mil was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor for his services to the development of helicopter construction. The government of the Soviet Land, three years after the agreement restricting the use of nuclear weapons, recognized the wearing of jeans as hostile to the authorities. Two years later, students in Paris cut their jeans, revealing much of their buttocks.

We do not "recommend" young people to read Colin Wilson's "Outsider". Especially if he doesn't know what Denim, Indigo, Karol May are, why jeans rub off and the colour brightens. Unless you were born in 1931 (like James Dean and Colin Wilson) or you are going to get a helicopter license.
