O rany! Jaka zajefana panorama!
Zbigniew Makowski is not only a painter, but also an artist many times more important for Polish culture than Tadeusz Kantor, who explains the world more deeply, more broadly, and what to hide here, much more interesting, for years he played with books from his brother USSR printed in giant editions.
Makowski's books look like space after a big party, or the alphabet that just fell out of the air conditioning.
What is slightly frightening about them is that after a while it turns out that nothing is a coincidence. Like any cosmos, they arrange themselves (of course only in the heads) into a logical whole.
All his life Makowski struggled to maintain his own separateness and remind him of his free will. He draw signs that are not associated with anything, and in a moment they are acutely aware of how little depends on ours We see. How You will click on the net "Z.M.", you will see a lot of very colorful, playful icons and letters on all sides on the screen.
But is what you see what is? Makowski liked such naive questions. He turned them into titles written in three directions, cryptographically rearranged: RES, ENS, EST.
Think for yourself whether there should be a question mark or a dot at the end? On the basis of answers, an average quick algorithm will determine what your attitude is to metaphysics, and who knows or not to religion.
One of the books slightly worked out by Makowski was a thick Soviet monograph about a progressive painter from the Reich Diures. Today, the book is in the Museum of Art magazine. Let's look at the Master's face, maybe we will see what we see so perfectly (from the right, Western perspective) with our own eyes.
Oh, please, we see CITY Like on the palm, well, maybe like on the forehead. Panoramicly we can see the whole city, probably Jerusalem, because what other city (the hometown of Nuremberg is a cosmic hole) in such a unique head can stand out.
Only significant cities, symbolic cities, mystical cities at once, in one moment we see. Isn't this how the Master (the other, from Mikhail Bulgakov) saw Jerusalem sitting in Moscow?
Please make sure for yourself, with your own eyes, that we recognize the destination well. To make a mistake in cities, especially on vacation, is a big annoyance.
Today, with so many pictures and icons, check something with your own eyes, make sure, it's no effort. Click and that's it! Unless, like Dürer in Makowski, instead of eyes, we have two black holes, two deep for many consecutive sides cut wounds.
They say that then a person sees deeper, but what does it mean, how does he see in a well or like in a microscope? In the well (almost like in Channels) every little thing means, it changes a lot.
You can see interesting things in the microscope, then take a coffee break for your eyes to rest and see the same thing again. Once seen, it does not count, it does not build solid statistics and confidence in reality.
Zbigniew Makowski bought the book in Warsaw, probably in Empik, which published by brotherly socialist countries sold for free. He bought in his city, where he saw burnt shreds of books flying over the rubble.
Cities, in black, cities in darkness, cities deeply engraved in the head, these do not have to be bad places to live, as long as we learn to look deeper. While we can distinguish between thin as a piece of paper alternating meanings and nonsense (the latter have odd pagination).
Most of the researching city planners, urban planners, architects, economists, sociologists, climatologists and even hydrologists and specialists in electric scooters see immeasurably more (more broadly) than Dürer s(self)portraited by Zbigniew Makowski in a book with an erased title. Unfortunately, he doesn't always see that he sees through something. What difference does it make whether: ":CITY" or: "CITY". Dots, colons, ellipsis, blinks, fit the city like holes to a bridge, spoil the readability of statistics and measurements. What's the difference: RES or SIGNUM?
Look at strange images sometimes, it doesn't hurt, very much.
